The International Youth Summit on Energy and Climate Change (IYSECC) is the first ever youth-oriented conference focusing on energy and climate change issues in China. It is part of the Energy Crossroads “Our-Opportunity” 2009 global summit series. The forum will be held on July 18-19, 2009 at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. There will be a China focus, but the message is of common challenges and opportunities. It will provide an opportunity for youth coming from all backgrounds and all over the world to understand China’s energy and climate change issues. It will also mobilize the young generation to play an active role in striving for a low carbon, more efficient and more sustainable future.

Participants will have chance to:

Listen to the voices from experts in the field of climate change, entrepreneurs and representatives from NGOs

Choose to participate workshops of different topics concerning energy and climate change

Participate into the youth leadership and skills training with a deeper understanding of career development and action guides

Discuss with both domestic and international future leaders who are interested in energy and climate change issues

Gain opportunities to internships and to be volunteers in the showcase of green enterprises and organizations at noon

Take part in the Culture Night-showcase of clubs at the first night of the summit to communicate with respectable NGOs
Days and time: 8:00am-5:00pm, July 18-19,2009.
July 20: choose to participate in different forums; Green Beijing; Green enterprises; visits to Tsinghua University and Peking University.

Fees:
- Students(including graduates and MBA): 50RMB/2 days; 100RMB/3 days;
- Non-students: 200RMB/2 days; 300RMB/3 days.
